Journalist Teven Kibumba says " Iganga would be far with assistance of it's rich men if they were patriotic citizens, unfortunately the rich men only sponsor politicians and in return demand for cheap /free space to set their structures, leaving a town with no reserves and plan ,the town would expand and develop qu**ky if we citizens become patriotic,Iganga town needs better hotels ,clean streets and well designed structures ,the leaders must seriously engage all stakeholders Upto the bottom in order for us to have a better Iganga that every one will be proud of "

ONC Busoga Co-ordinator Mr Buyinza Abdulrahim has expressed concern over excessive miss use of Public money by officials at Iganga DLG ,Buyinza says over 40 Million shillings was spent to renovate Iganga district headquarters toilet on addition to that 30 Millions were used to construct for CAO and human resource a toilet and still more 30 Millions was allocated by district to construct for Chairman LC5 a toilet ,Buyinza adds on that the toilet that was constructed on 40 Million shillings has no water and they were surprised more when OPM officials wanted to use the toilets but lacked water "I have compiled the report that I will submit to my boss Hajjat Namyalo " says Buyinza

Former Deputy Mayor Iganga Mr Ndazula Enock "president Museveni did a disservice to local governments ,they longer have much powers , president stopped taxes that Municipal councils were generating from bus and Taxi parks ,here in Iganga we used to collect over 24 Millions from taxi park and 8 Millions from Bus park monthly and we could use that revenue to provide better for our town ,now the sources of local revenue for Iganga were reduced and only relay on central market which is in a misery state and lock Ups ,and the people still demand Leaders good services"
