87.7 BABA FM 87.7 Basoga Baino (BABAFM) is a regional radio station, owned by Busoga kingdom. It's a sister station to BABA TV.

Basoga Baino FM (BABA FM) is a radio station broadcasting on 87.7. It was set up by the Busoga Kingdom to address issues of ordinary people living in Busoga region and its surrounding districts through Entertainment, Mobilisation, Education and Effective communication programming. It broadcasts in 3 languages mainly; Lusoga, Luganda and English.

Sad! Uganda’s Olympic champion Peruth Chemutai was taken to hospital after suffering a bad fall while in the women's 3000m steeplechase final at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo yesterday, Sep 17, 2025!

Chemutai who had led for much of the opening half, stumbled on a barrier midway through the race but managed to stay upright, slipping back to fourth place. With 3 laps remaining, she clipped another barrier and crashed onto the track.

We wish her a quick recovery 🙏❤️

Sad! A 35 year old woman, only identified as Habiba of Bugembe, was earlier today crushed by a train on a railway at Obote way in Jinja City.

The deceased was an employee of Gomba Leather Turning Company and according to reports, she didn't hear the sound of the coming train because she had earphones and might have been listening to music on her way back home!

Jinja Central Police dismissed reports which made rounds on social media that an air conditioner (AC) supporting the Central Police Station (CPS) CCTV system was stolen on Monday night.

According to Kiira Region Police PRO, SP James Mubi, the false and misleading information should be disregarded!

"The technical team on Monday, September 15 conducted its regular servicing on the AC units at CPS Jinja Central. The purpose of the exercise is to enhance performance of the CCTV cameras by ensuring reliable footage capture, proper airflow and temperature regulation." Mubi added
