The Bishop of the Diocese of Kigezi, the Rt. Rev. Gaddie Akanjuna has today commissioned the Diocese of Kigezi Savings and Credit Cooperative Society (SACCO) new offices, located at the All Saints Church commercial building along Bushekwire Road in the Central Division of Kabale Municipality.

Akanjuna emphasized the importance of saving, stating that one does not need huge sums to begin saving, but can start with modest amounts to gradually build greater wealth.

5 people were killed by lightning on Tuesday around 5pm in Rwakashanga Cell, Rwahi Town Council, Ntungamo District.

The Rwizi Region Police Spokesperson Samson Kasasira identified the deceased as Edgar Taremwa (38), Jackline Nduhukire (44), Alexander Mwaka (25), and two unidentified men aged 30–50, believed to be from Ruhaama, Ntungamo.
