Mastering VSLA Best Practices:

From the 11th to 15th, Nakawa PVAC cluster has been in a workshop that was empowering Our Staff & Community-Based Facilitators to Strengthen Parenting & Youth Saving Groups”
We’re rolled out an intensive training blitz for all staff and Community Based Facilitators (CBFs) to sharpen VSLA (Village Savings and Loans Association) best practices. The goal? Equip our teams to supercharge parenting groups and youth saving groups with solid financial inclusion and empowerment skills.

Key training highlights:
VSLA fundamentals: group formation, savings cycles, and loan management.
Facilitation hacks: interactive sessions for parenting groups to link savings with family wellbeing.
Youth‑focused strategies: designing saving schemes that spark youth entrepreneurship and financial discipline.
Monitoring & evaluation: simple tools to track group performance and impact.
Community engagement tips: blending VSLA with local parenting customs and youth interests for maximum buy‑in.
