Maintaining The Anointing
Every good thing is protected and preserved because if you don't protect it, it will be taken or wasted, in your life the most important thing that should be guarded jealously is the Anointing that is in you or the one your about to receive
Because when you have anointing you have every thing even the bad ones are attracted to you
1 Doing the will of God
Saul lost the anointing because he didn't do what God had told him to do, when God told him to destroy every thing in the city of a gag but because of greed, he spared the fatty cows,sheep and goats and he came along with them which annoyed the Lord to withdraw the anointing form him and he rejected him from being a king over Israel 1samuel 15:9
Whatever you do always fight to do the will of God because when your in the will of God he does it himself he knows how when where what and which..the will of God is the best way to take but very sensitive to discern,even Jesus needed to walk in the will of God..when he said your will but not my will
2.Dealing with you character before it deals with you
Did you know that anointing makes a giant out of you not a giant making anointing,
So Anointing magnifies that which is in you. if your humble, it will help you humble the more. if your prayerful, it will help pray the more. the anointing helps you to perfect that which is in you,so if you have a character or habit that is not good and you have not dealt with it and over come it,when the anointing comes on you it will magnify that what is in you, that's why a person who was a thief when he or she comes to church, and they don't break the spirit of theft from them after receiving the anointing they steal the more even in church,a person who was immoral when they come to church and they don't deal with the spirit of immorality, they become more immoral in church etc. Its good to spot out your weakness or character and deal with them before they deal with you
3.deal with the Spirit of pride
Pride is very bad disease in a christian life for the Bible says that God fights the proud.
Pride will drive you from doing according to the will of God and you do as you,
pride will make you despise what would help you and at the end of the day you miss what would have helped you, pride will make you want to be every ones favourite and choice,you want to be the center of attraction and take God from his position. you begin to say God has spoken even when he has not spoken
Herod was given the anointing of being a king but time reached he became so proud that he begun speaking like God and God got annoyed he sent an angel which slapped him and he rotted there and then.
Some of us what we are going through is a result of the slap of the angel of God because of our pride..
The devil wanted to bring down Peter with the spirit of pride by bringing up a girl who begun praising them,but Peter being sensitive in the Spirit he got to know this was an attack on his anointing and he rebuked the spirit out if girl Acts16:16
you always need to be careful when you begin to receive praise for the devil would want to use them to bring pride in you, that's why when they called Jesus master he asked them why do you call me good, Its not because he was not good but he knew the dangers that come along with praises
I pray for you that you shall have the power to overcome whatever would want to quench your anointing.
