Strengthening Partnerships for Family & Sustainable Livelihoods.

The ongoing four-day Capacity Building & Training Workshop for Household and Community Transformation Coordinators from the 39 Dioceses, the Church of Uganda leadership met with representatives of Life International and Crown Financial Ministries International today at Daniel Uganda Missional Centre, Lweza.

The meeting, chaired by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, The Most Rev. Dr. Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu, brought together leaders including Rev. Canon William Ongeng, the Provincial Secretary, and the Provincial management team.

Key partners present:
Mr. Kurt Dillinger – President & Founder, Life International
Mr. Steve Biondo – Chief Advancement Officer, Life International
Mr. Chuck Bentley – CEO, Crown Financial Ministries International

Discussions focused on:
Empowering farmers of influence
Training Trainers of Trainers (ToTs)
Establishing demonstration farms
Engaging policymakers on sustainable livelihoods (Farming God’s Way)
Leveraging media & visual storytelling for transformation

This builds on the five-year MoU signed with Life International (March 2025), and opens doors for a new partnership with Crown Financial Ministries to promote financial stewardship and equip households across the Church of Uganda with sustainable livelihood skills.

Quoting Matthew 17:21, Rt. Rev. Onesimus Asiimwe emphasized that "some demons do not go out except by prayer and fasting."
The Bishop encouraged Christians to embrace true fasting, abstaining from food in humility before God, whilealso advising those with health challenges to seek medical guidance.

The day was a clear testimony of unity in faith and a time of spiritual renewal and revival across the diocese beyond.
