THOUSANDS OF CHRISTIANS ARE FIGHTING A BATTLE THEY NEVER TALK ABOUT LUST & MA********ON!!
Not because they don't love God,But because shame keeps them silent,One of the biggest lies about lust is that only "bad Christians" struggle with it That's not true Pastors have battled it.
Church leaders have battled it, Men have battled it.
Women have battled it Even people you admire have had to fight this war I know because I fought it too,There was a season in my life when lust, po*******hy, and ma********on had a grip on me.I know the guilt,The shame ,The promises to stop.
The frustration of falling again.
The battle against lust isn't new.
People struggled with it in Bible times.
People struggle with it today.
The temptation may look different.
But the battle remains the same.
"For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh." Galatians 5:17
The problem isn't that people don't know lust is wrong.
Most already know.
The real problem is that nobody teaches them how lust works.
SO THEY KEEP FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL BATTLE WITH HUMAN STRENGTH.
Lust rarely begins with actions.
It begins with thoughts.
A glance.
A fantasy.
A conversation.
An image.
What grows in the mind eventually shows up in life.
"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed." James 1:14
Po*******hy promises satisfaction.
But it never truly satisfies.
For a moment it feels like pleasure.
Afterward it often leaves guilt, shame, and emptiness.
What looks like freedom often becomes slavery.
Sexual desire itself is not evil.
God created it.
The problem begins when a good gift is pursued outside God's design.
When desire becomes a master instead of a servant. This is why trying harder is never enough.
Many have prayed.
Many have cried.
Many have promised God,
"This is my last time."
Yet they still fall.
Because lust is deeper than behavior.
The enemy wants you trapped in shame.
Because shame keeps people hiding.
And what remains hidden often remains unhealed.
Freedom begins when honesty begins.
"Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."
James 5:16
If you're fighting this battle right now:
GOD HAS NOT ABANDONED YOU.
You are not beyond His mercy.
You are not too dirty to come back.
"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
1 John 1:9
Lust may be part of your story.
But it does not have to be your future.
There is freedom.
There is restoration.
There is grace.
And through Christ, there is victory.
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."
Matthew 5:8
FIGHTING LUST? START HERE.
Spend time with God daily, not only when you've fallen.
Remove what feeds temptation.
(Unfollow, block, delete, distance.)
Stop fighting alone.
Find a trusted believer who can keep you accountable.
Don't negotiate with temptation.
Run from it.
When you fall, repent quickly and return to God.
Remember: freedom is usually a process, not an event.
