UBC TV This is the official page of Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC),FormeRLY (UTV) the National Public Broadcaster for Uganda.

UTV was opened on 8th oct 1963 at 4.00pm, that was after Commisioning Mulago Hospital early in the day. UBC network has 4 television channels and 11 radio stations that offer broadcasting services in 27 languages across the country. In 2011 the Government approved the digital migration policy that gave rise to the creation of Signal Network limited (SIGNET) a Free to Air (FTA)signal distributor.

Dear members of the public, It is not true that all FTA channels are off.
It is true that some channels were disrupted.

Those that are failing to get any channels in their homes should search using Channel number 36 or MHZ 594.
Incase the channels on Frequency 36 fail, please adjust your Antenna for a stronger signal.

You should be able to receive more than 15 FTA channels that are available.

This works for people with inbuilt FTA or those with FTA decorders.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of a remarkable figure in Ugandan radio broadcasting. Our beloved colleague and presenter of the Lumasaba language program on UBC Butebo FM, Mr Richard Bwayo, has left an indelible mark on our lives and the broadcasting industry.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May their memory be a blessing to us all.

Uganda Airlines yesterday carried out a post-maintenance verification flight on the
CRJ900 Jet (5X- KNP) following its recent engine change. The aircraft was taken to 20,000 feet out of Entebbe under the command of Senior Captain Emmanuel Mutebi. Mutebi says such functional check flights are a critical step in validating engine performance, aircraft handling and systems integrity before release back to commercial service.
