We’re starting 2025 on a high note at Next Media Park!

Today, we hosted Rotary International President, Dr. Stephanie A. Urchick, as she kicked off the Rotary Africa Magic Tour 2025 in Uganda—her first stop among five African nations.

As part of this visit, she planted a tree at Next Media Park, contributing to our 15 Million Trees campaign, reaffirming our shared commitment to sustainability.

The tour continues throughout the week with impactful events such as the launch of the Rotary WASH Institute, the 2025 Cancer Run digital campaign, a peace symposium, and the Africa Peace Concert happening this Friday.

We kick off the week with reaffirmation that our campaign is reaching far and wide with an endorsement from the Inspector General of Police, Afande Abas Byakagaba who spent his morning at the today. 😊

As the norm, he was welcomed and given a by Desire Derekford Mugumisa and later proceeded to have a fruitful meeting with our Group CEO, Kin Kariisa.

Key Issues discussed include areas of collaboration, especially ahead of the upcoming election season, and the concerning rise of fraudsters posing as journalists—a challenge we are committed to addressing with the Uganda Police to protect the integrity of our profession.
