As the TFP family, we are deeply saddened to share that we have lost a loved one.
It is with great sorrow that we communicate the passing of the father of our Head of Production, Paul Kabango.

This is a heartbreaking moment for Paul, his family, and for all of us who work closely with him. We stand with him during this difficult time and hold him and his loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.

May Mr. Joseph Kabango’s soul rest in eternal peace.

Création Africa Lagos provided an invigorating atmosphere. A diverse group of creatives from across the continent shared ideas, stories and inspiration that lingered long after the event concluded.The African creative space was thriving. From film and live action to animation, games, virtual reality and augmented reality and digital fashion, the creativity was boundless. Connecting with delegations and teams from across the continent further enhanced the experience.The Ugandan delegation, comprising Derrick Kibisi, Emmanuel and Lorna (Keepers of The Forest), Andrew Ahuura, Richard Musinguzi, Paula Kyabaggu and Moses Akii, demonstrated exceptional talent.A key takeaway was the realisation that creativity alone is insufficient. Passion and a business mindset are essential for sustained growth and the preservation of creative work. This sentiment is widely shared within the industry.But overall… it was just inspiring. Being surrounded by people who love what they do, who want to build something bigger, who believe in storytelling, that’s the part that stays with you.

Our Managing Director Kibisi was invited to attend the Création Africa Forum in Lagos, Nigeria, a vibrant gathering of creatives, producers, innovators, and cultural leaders from across Africa and Europe.

It was a meaningful space to exchange ideas, explore opportunities, and strengthen connections within the creative ecosystem. We’re grateful for the experience and inspired to apply what we learned to our ongoing work in community development and the creative arts.

Our Land Our Freedom will be the closing film at the Kenya premiere. This powerful documentary follows a woman’s search for her father’s remains, which turns into an investigation into colonial atrocities and a grassroots movement to reclaim ancestral land.
