What’s Killing Them?

Most music videos today lack a clear concept and intentional actions (scenes) during pre-production.

What many directors do is find a cool location, use a high-quality camera, choose stylish wardrobes, add dancers, and—boom—the video is done. The video gets some attention for a month, then fades away. Most of the time, directors get lucky because they are working with big artists and great songs. But sometimes, the results are disappointing.

What if I told you that you can make every music video stand out? Yes, you can—if you put this into practice:

Spend 80% of your time in pre-production. Brainstorm fresh ideas and make every scene count, just like in a movie. Whether it's camera movement, acting, or shot composition, every detail should connect to the story or the video's goal.
