On 28 Aug I reached out to and we started talking about a vitiligo campaign.

What's vitiligo by the way?

This is an auto immune disorder that causes the cells (melanocytes) to lose their ability to produce pigment hence causing the skin to have blotches or white-patches and some times your hair losing its color.

We were surprised to learn that vitiligo isn't a condition you're born with,it can attack anyone at any age due to many reasons like stress and other underlying conditions such as diabetes and so on.

Vitiligo can attack anyone regardless of s*x gender or race.

A lot of people suffer mental breakdown once they're diagnosed with vitiligo and many people especially in our African setting some times relate this to traditional causes and a lot of stigma is spread.

We want to let you know vitiligo isn't contagious,it doesn't spread from person to person and what's amazing 10-20% of people with it actually regain their skin pigmentation after some time.

We want to urge everyone if you see someone or have a friend with vitiligo please don't critique them instead support them and make them laugh because you could be the only reason they chose to stay strong. Ours is a message of love the next time you meet someone with vitiligo don't start looking the other way instead smile at them.
