The Farmers Media Communicating for Rural Development Based in ntinda-Kampala , the Farmers Media has placed itsself as Uganda’s first agricultural information centre.

Farmers Media is a specialised agro-based media organisation that specialises in agricultural communication in Uganda and the COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) region. Created in 2003 as the Farmers Voice and later transformed to Farmers Media in 2007 the organisation’s mission is to inform and empower rural communities through promotion of agriculture-based information.

The African Seed Access Index (TASAI) host a Seed Sector and Stakeholders’ Workshop in Kampala,the meeting held at Fairway Boutique Hotel, Kampala, Uganda on Wednesday, 6th May 2026, The workshop brought together a wide range of stakeholders from Uganda’s agricultural and seed sector, including representatives from government ministries and agencies such as Ministry of Agriculture, Animal industry and Fisheries (MAAIF), research institutions such as national Agricultural Research Organization (NARO), seed companies, farmer organizations, development partners, civil society organizations, and private sector actors.
