UPDF Passes Out 99 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers in Signal Upgrade Course
The Uganda Peoplesβ Defence Forces (UPDF) School of Communication, Information Technology and Signals has passed out 99 senior non-commissioned officers who successfully completed the Signal Upgrade Level II Course at the school in Lugazi.
Speaking at the pass-out ceremony, Col Simon Mwebaza congratulated the officers upon completing the course and urged them to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during training effectively in their respective units and military operations.
He emphasized the critical role of communication personnel in supporting command, control, and coordination within the UPDF, calling on the graduates to uphold professionalism and dedication in service.
The School Commandant, Lt Col Bernard Tony Okol, noted that the course was designed to equip officers with advanced competencies in communication systems, cyber security, and tactical planning. He highlighted the importance of reliable and secure communication in modern military operations, describing it as a key pillar for mission success.
Lt Col Okol further encouraged the graduates to remain committed to continuous learning and adaptation to emerging technological developments in the defence sector.
The successful completion of the Signal Upgrade Level X2 Course marks another step in strengthening the UPDFβs communication and information management capabilities as the force continues to modernize its operations.
