We were pleased to host a team from The Human Rights Centre Uganda for a follow-up meeting at RDP Uganda. Welcomed by Nyamata Lydia the Program Officer, Robert Mugisa of HRCU noted the importance of the meeting and he further documented Human Rights issues from Masindi District Human Rights Defenders.

--- From Tuesday 13th to Wednesday 14th October 2020, HRCU conducted a Regional Reflection Meeting between NGO Bureau, NGO Monitoring Committees, Key Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and Nongovernmental Organisations. This was held in Ntungamo district with 20 participants from Ntungamo, Mitooma and Rukungiri physically present and others joining online via ZOOM.
--- The objective/purpose of the meeting was to enhance the understanding of the District NGO Monitoring Committees, MDAs and NGOs on their roles and responsibilities as specified in the NGO regulatory framework.
--- Through the meeting, knowledge and understanding was enhanced regarding the NGO regulatory framework and this will further facilitate compliance by Nongovernmental Organisations in Uganda.
--- On Thursday morning 15th October 2020, a Radio Talk Show was held on Ankole Fm in Ntungamo district to highlight the key provisions of the NGO Act 2016 and NGO Regulations.
