A Dream Shattered: The Tragic Loss of the Joshi Family on Today’s Devastating Plane Crash in India UK Bound šŸ’”šŸ˜¢

For six long years, Pratik Joshi lived alone in London, working tirelessly as a software professional. His tireless dedication was driven by a singular dream: to build a better, brighter future abroad for his wife and their three young children, who waited patiently back in India. That dream, nurtured through countless late-night calls and overcoming visa hurdles, was finally within reach.

Just two days ago, his wife, Dr. Komi Vyas—a devoted medical professional—resigned from her job in India. Their home was packed, tearful goodbyes were exchanged, and hearts brimmed with hope. A new life awaited them—a future they had only dared to imagine.

This morning, the family boarded Air India flight 171 to London together. Smiling and laughing, Pratik captured a selfie of all five of them framed by the airplane windows and their shared dreams, sending it to relatives with the message: ā€œWe’re finally flying home.ā€

But fate had other plans.

The plane crashed.

In an instant, all five lives were lost. No warning, no goodbye—just silence.

What was meant to be a new beginning became a heartbreaking end. The first page of their new chapter turned out to be the final paragraph of a beautiful, unfinished story.

A father’s relentless effort.
A mother’s sacrifice.
Three innocent children with their whole lives ahead of them—
All extinguished in a moment of unimaginable tragedy.

This devastating loss reminds us of a painful truth: we often assume we have time—to chase dreams, to say ā€œI love you,ā€ to make memories, to truly start living. But life, in its cruelest form, can take it all away in the blink of an eye.

So, while you still can—hold your loved ones tighter. Say the words you’ve been meaning to say. Don’t postpone joy. Don’t delay love. Don’t wait to start living your life.

Because tomorrow is a promise none of us are guaranteed.

Copied.

A teacher entered the classroom and found the chair he was to sit on hung on the ceiling. He looked at the students and smiled. Without saying a word, he proceeded to the blackboard and wrote:

Test - 15 min, 30 marks.

Q1. Calculate the distance between the chair and the floor in centimeters (1 Mark).

Q2. Calculate the angle of inclination of the chair to the ceiling, and show your workings (1 Mark)

Q3. Write the name of the student who hung the chair on the ceiling and the friends who helped him. (28 Marks).

Dear Benjamin Bol Mel,

In our African culture, when your father feels there are things he can't pursue due to his age, he looks to his capable children and involves one trusted son in matters of his affairs. He cannot tell his son everything, but when that chosen son has a young mind and energy, he can borrow ideas and observe how his neighbours are handling their fathers' affairs.

President Salva Kiir brought you closer to him not because he intends to hand you power as others perceived, but because he wants you to pursue things that he sees as more challenging to him and need a young man like you —things that require energy and fresh ideas. So please, run well, and make the President appreciate his wisdom in bringing you closer. Make him sleep at night knowing he has a young, energetic son managing most of the affairs.

What I shared below is about army equipment brought to Burkina Faso— by H.E. Ibrahim Trorae, someone who is far younger than you, Bol. He is just 35 years old, but he has the energy and ideas to liberate his people from imperialism. He may not have cash, but he has ideas.

Please, my brother, given that you are young and educated, make President Kiir proud at his age. Ask him for the little you need from his wisdom, but also open your mind as a young person and bring more ideas to the table. Wake up every morning with a fresh idea and translate it into actions that will have a clear impact on every citizen that loves this country.

Use your brain to manage the responsibilities entrusted to you by H.E. the President, and help to dispel doubts about South Sudan by strengthening the army to the world standard.

Bring in more weapons, and fighter jets, organize the army professionally, raise their salaries, and find ways to pay them on time. South Sudan is richer than we think—what we need are ideas. Let the army feel valued, and let their wives be proud to buy things for their families like women in other countries. Work hard with H.E. the President to remove those old faces who have been cutting army salaries for decades. Show them the exit and bring in young, energetic people with fresh ideas.

No one should do this but you, as a trusted young person appointed by the President. Don’t let him regret his decision. Do extra to silence the guns across the country—although silencing guns in South Sudan might cost half the country’s lives, please do it. The few remaining will produce the best citizens.

This is the little information I wanted to convey to you as a Nuer son who cares about the betterment of this country.

Office of the Vice President & Chairperson of Economic Cluster, South Sudan

Second phase.

The death of Puot Nyuon and his men.

By:.. Juma G*i Thoan.

Puot Nyuon with his seven hundreds men(700) arrived at the borderline between Jieng and the Nuer in the present day Maper County of Lake State. Puot and his men started searching for a possible route that could lead them into cattle grazing fields where they could find some cattle to raid in other words ā€œstealā€ from their owners. However, little they didn’t know was that, their enemies already intercepted their movements through their powerful spiritual leader who informed them earlier about the possible surprised attacks by Puot and his men. But the spiritual leader had promised them of their own safety and their livestock as well but warned them to plan an offensive self defense far from their villages.

Puot enemies had prepared themselves for an ambush. As hours passed while Puot and his men still keep searching through the forests and grasses, they had finally reached to the ambush site where they were fiercely attacked leading to the death of Puot Nyuon and his seven hundreds men(700 men)in that battle.

Machar was left with his widow mother. Machar’s mother, the wife to Puot Nyuon had to raised her son through thick and sin as years passed by and Machar was already a grown up man. Machar got married to his wife Nyadak Juoy D**g Ruei Kuoch who is the biological mother to the current First Vice President Dr. Riek Machar Puot.

Riek Machar’s birth.

Machar Puot has become an independent man and inherited all his father’s wealth, cows, goats, and farms which were belong to his late father Puot Nyuon. He began to establish his family within the territory of his late father’s yard (Tharlel Teny). While Machar continue to explore his native lands and farming and his father’s long history from meeting Ngundeng B**g in Waat and Kolang Ket in Koch up to his mission which took his life with his men, he began to think differently about what possible way he could revenge the death of his father and his men. After thorough examination of his own thoughts, he concluded to asks the gods to help him find a possible solutionā€œ he made some sacrifices by performing rituals asking the gods to give him and his wife more boys than girls. Indeed gods blessed Machar with boys namely, BanƤk, Gatluok, Riek and Gattial Machar and many other boys whom I couldn’t remember their names and of course some girls.

After few years while Riek and his siblings were growing up, Machar decided to send his kids to school since school were opens for free in the area and around the Country because Sudan then was a newly independent country where everything were fresh, green and free for everyone. But warned his Sons as they go to school not to forget the death of their grandfather. This warning stick on their minds until they could potentially get a way to revenge the death of their grandfather and his men.

What triggered the problems between Nuer and the Dinka communities today.

Not so long ago, when Dr. Riek Machar Puot realized that he could possibly be the person who will fit to revenge the death of his grandfather and his men. After graduating from college In Khartoum and his subsequent pursued to the higher education in London where he graduated with Masters and his PhD.

Dr. Riek Machar has already equipped himself with maximum knowledge about how and what triggered the death of his grandfather and how best he could revenge it. Between 1985-6 he came back to Sudan from London through ADIS Ababa where he personally met with the leader of SPLM/A Dr. John Garang de Mabior an armed gorilla formed to fight against the government in Khartoum in 1983. During this time Dr. Riek Machar was just 38 years old when he was offered to stay in ADIS as a coordinator for the arm movement by Dr. John Garang.

While in ADIS Ababa, Dr. Riek Machar started interacting with some Nuer intellectuals and military officers who were involved in the previous rebel groups with Vincent Kuany Latjor and Samuel G*i Tut, but failed to meet their obligations due to manipulation by few individuals within their ranks and files. Such an interaction gives Dr. Riek Machar a chance to protrate himself as a good man and well educated who could make a good leader like Dr. John Garang. That was the beginning of hateful behavior toward the leader of the movement Dr. John Garang de Mabior.

The Nuer Generals and intellectuals at that time began to ask themselves questions likeā€ why Samuel G*i Tut was killed and why Dr. Riek Machar is not in top three of the leadership while he is a PhD holder like Dr. John Garang himself ? Something must be wrong with this Dinka led Movement they concluded. Forgetting that Dr. Riek Machar was just a fresh student right from School and the Movement started earlier before him. However, with Dr. Riek Machar’s intention to revenge the death of his grandfather, he keep fueling the flames and such a hateful questions keep growing each day and each year until they become wounds year after year and that what triggered the 1991 incidents and the hateful, rhetoric characters began to grow even worse and more volatile between the Nuer and Dinka communities until today.

: SSPDF peace deployment and territorial defence of the Republic of South Sudan

By Hon.Ezekiel Lol Gatkouth

The deployment of the South Sudan People’s Defence Forces (SSPDF) in Ulang, Nasir, and key border posts such as Jikmir/Burebiey—along the South Sudan-Ethiopia border—is a national responsibility entrusted to our SSPDF Army, the National Police, and other Organized Forces.

Our civilian population in the counties of Nasir and Ulang will be protected at all costs by the SSPDF. We are fully committed to ensuring peace and stability in these areas through the presence and vigilance of our national forces.

I extend my sincere congratulations to the SSPDF for the successful deployment in these regions. We must not allow illegal activities in our border areas, nor can we permit armed criminals to take innocent civilians hostage or disrupt public order.

With this security foundation now established, essential public services—including healthcare, education, infrastructure, and others—will be delivered without obstruction to the people of these communities.

Peace remains our motto, and we will uphold it with unwavering determination.
