A section of Kitagwenda residents and supporters of Robert Mugabe who won the NRM flag for Kitagwenda County Member of Parliament have petitioned President Yoweri Museveni over alleged intimidation and unfairly targeting of their candidate.

The supporters accuse former aspirant Agaba Abbas of frustrating Mugabe’s mobilization efforts, claiming he uses a State House vehicle and boasting of presidential backing as he plans to contest as an independent candidate.

They warn that if Mugabe faces disqualification again, they will abandon the NRM and switch to the opposition, urging the President to safeguard their democratic choice and party unity.
