Padibe Girls primary has won the Lamwo District Music, Dance and Drama for this year with 977 points , followed by Ogili Hills primary school with 975 points and Paloga Primary school in third position with 970 points among others.

There were thirteen primary schools that participated in the post primary MDD competition.

The leadership of Kitgum Municipality on Wednesday 9/8/2023 held a fruitful meeting with the Civil Aviation Authority officials in the office of the Director General Fred Bamwesigye .

The team was led by Hon Tonny Awany who is the Member of Parliament for Nwoya Constituency and the deputy Chairman of parliament's physical infrastructure committee, Hon Onekalit Denis Amere Mp Kitgum Municipality and His worship Okwera Richard Ojara the Mayor of Kitgum Municipality.

The meeting discussed ways of revamping Kitgum Airfield which is operated by the government of Uganda.

And the technical verification civil Aviation Authority team is expected to be in Kitgum for assessibility and operationalization of Kitgum Airfield between 24th and 28th August this year.

The eighth and second last meeting for the ordination that is scheduled for 19th August 2023 meaning we are only left with nine days to the ordination day.

As the day draws near the committee plans to have a road drive for fundraising on Wednesday 16/8/2023 and last meeting on Thursday 17/8/2023 next week according to the chairperson central organizing committee Mr Komakech John Ogwok.

The Episcopal Vicar of Kitgum Vacariate Monsignor Vincent Ojok Adot, encouraged the faithful to continue in prayers and put more efforts in the departments that still need a lot especially the finance department and liturgy so that the ordination is Wonderful.

Journalist covering the G-25 African Coffee Summit in Munyonyo on the outcry for working on empty stomachs for the whole day.

According to sources, only water was given to journalists at 10 am.

This was during the opening of the three-day second G-25 Africa Coffee Summit, held at Speke Resort Munyonyo. Running under the theme: “Transforming the African Coffee Sector through value addition”, and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni was the chief Guest.

"It is so funny for people to always take us for granted, we are the fourth estate but we are also Huma beings we also go hungry. Take for example i may have money to pay for a meal but the hotel can't allow me to bring in food from outside yet their food is so expensive" - Journalists.

Section of Adjumani Town Council residents have petitioned the district Administrative Officer of Adjumani District Local government demanding details of the ongoing 3.1 kilometers road construction project worth 10.2billion shillings under the Uganda Support to Municipal Development Programme Additional Funding (USMID-AF).

Centenary Bank donates ICT Equipment to Lamwo District Local Government

Centenary Bank donated 01 Desktop Computer and 01 Printer (Printer, Photocopier and Scanner) to the Community Based Services Department in Lamwo District to support provision of DRDIP services to the community.

The ICT Equipment that included: Computer Desktop and Printer were handed over to the Chief Administrative Officer - Mr. Obong Thomson from the District Headquarters. While handing over the equipment the Assistant Branch Manager Kitgum - Ms. Milly Beatrice Onyuta Said that the support was provided to support further development of the community through DRDIP.

This handover was witnessed by the District Community Development Officer - Mr. Nyeko Wilfred, Mr. Wilobo Benedict and Ms. Anena Jennifer Gloria from Centenary Bank - Kitgum Branch.
