UPDATE : LEMU Trains leaders on customary land management and conflict mediations
More than 200 leaaders of Chegere Sub county, Apac District, including cultural, political and religious leaders have undergone training on customary land management and dispute resolution.
The training organised by Land and Equity Movement in Uganda (LEMU) was facilitated by advocates and law students of Uganda Christine University (UCU).
LEMU Executive Director Dr. Theresa Auma says the training intends to enhance knowledge and capacities of leaders in resolving customary land disputes in communities.
According to Dr. Auma, under the flagship Keep Your Land Keep Your Seed Campign, the organisation wilfacilitate land dispute mediations in Apac from Saturday 4th to 10th October, 2025.
