*WHY HON. BETTY AMONGI AKENA OPENLY SUPPORTS NRM: THE TRUTH LANGO MUST KNOW*
Lango, it’s time to wake up. The truth must be told. Many are wondering why *Hon. Betty Amongi Akena* has become a die-hard supporter of NRM. The answer lies in her *roots—because NRM was her first job after university!* She was recruited by President Museveni himself under the Pan-African Movement while still a university student. She didn’t stumble into power— *she was groomed for it.*
Her first deployment was to Parliament during a time when Lango was politically strong, though most of the leaders then were UPC giants—Agrey Awori, John Odit, Dr. Okulu Epak, the late Cecilia Ogwal. Behind the scenes, another key player, the late George Cosmas Adyebo (Museveni’s right-hand man in Lango), was engineering something deeper: infiltration. Through him, NRM strategically recruited Jovino Akaki—and that’s how I, too, was drawn in as a radio presenter, working hard to support Akaki on air.
*Amongi was not merely in Parliament;* she was planted. Adyebo said if she was to gain Lango’s trust, *she had to wear the UPC mask.* So she stood in the Apac District under UPC. But behind the veil, she was a messenger—tasked with feeding NRM secrets from UPC. *And she succeeded.* She penetrated UPC like a virus in the bloodstream.
*When Jimmy Akena,* my clan brother and son of the late *President Milton Obote, returned to revive UPC, he was seen as a threat—* not just to the party but to *President Museveni himself* . To neutralize that threat, Amongi was used. What was the mission was? *Seduce Akena.* They were both sent to Sudan for peace talks with Joseph Kony, and history was made—not just politically but personally. Amongi delivered. *Akena was politically captured*
That’s how Akena sold UPC to NRM. *That’s how UPC was married off to the ruling party and lost all value and respect.* The so-called marriage between Amongi and Akena wasn’t just love— *it was a political transaction.* Museveni himself attended and represented Akena’s late father. A huge brown envelope sealed the deal. The people of Lango watched, perhaps not understanding what had just been signed away.
*Since then, Amongi has been rewarded* —not because of merit, but as payment. Ministerial positions were handed to her, *not for competence, but for loyalty.* Yet, wherever she has led, she’s left a trail of failure, arrogance, and alleged corruption. She disrespects Lango leaders, misuses power, and divides our people with money, threats, and manipulation.
*Amongi has used her influence to silence the Lango Parliamentary Group and to undermine our traditional leadership.* She even finances people like Omodo Omodo, George Ojwang-Opota, and even Engineer Odongo Okune by rushing to Gazette
him as Paramount Chief of Lango (Won Nyaci me Lango) *to cause confusion and weaken our cultural unity.* She openly brags, “Nothing comes to Lango, unless it passes through me.” *This is not leadership—* This is dictatorship with a smile.
*But her reign of deception is shaking hit not by earthquake.* There is a new name rising like lightening —a name feared by Amongi and Akena alike. That name is *Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero. Known as CENG ATEDERO, CENG ALANGO,* she is respected in every district, across the nation, and internationally. Her record speaks. Her humility inspires. Her presence threatens the political puppeteers who have sold Lango’s dignity.
When Akena and Amongi ran to President Museveni with allegations against Dr. Aceng and RCC Egole Lawrence, it was not out of loyalty to the state— *it was fear. Fear of a rising tide. Fear of people waking up.* Their accusations were weak, desperate, and shameful.
*Ask yourself:* Why should Akena, the so-called leader of UPC, accuse Aceng of not loving Museveni of leaving out old NRM members and supporting newcomers to NRM *Isn’t UPC supposed to be an opposition party?* What contradiction is this? *Is he a double agent or simply bought and owned?* Even worse, he couldn't defend the allegations of going to extort money from State House. He shouted, insulted, and evaded the truth. The video was flooding social media, bragging about being born in State House. *But we demand answers—not noise!*
*Meanwhile, RCC Egole Lawrence—* a man of integrity and action—has continued to work for the people. *Though small in body, he is a political heavyweight in Lira City and across Lango.* UPC fears him, too. Because he, like Dr. Aceng stands for accountability and results. With Egole Lira, it is safer even the commander in Chief knows it.
*Amongi can not survive outside of government fact.* Her corruption allegations—ranging from grabbing five Asian properties to multiple land scams from disability groups within and without Oyam District — *would have landed any ordinary Ugandan in jail.* Instead, she was promoted. Protected. Pampered. Have you ever wondered about her Bank Account Balance?
*But don't enough is enough.* Lango, we are not fools. We are one of the most educated tribes in Uganda. *Why are we acting like educated illiterates? What’s the use of a degree if you can not stand for truth?* Stand up. Speak up. Think critically. Let your education be a tool of transformation—not just decoration. It's very sad and painful to see well educated person ignorant.
*Let us support Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero. Let us back RCC Egole Lawrence.* Becuse with them ur future is secured, ur health is guaranteed.
Let us reject corrupt, tired, self-serving politicians who have used our votes as bargaining banana chips for personal gain.
*Ask yourselves: What legacy did Amongi leave in Apac when she was MP? What transformation has she brought to Oyam?* Nothing but empty promises, land grabbing, division, and Orib cing Confusion.
*The Time Is Now. The Choice Is Clear.*

✅ Defend Egole Lawrence – a true servant of the people.
*Let’s flood the* churches, markets, boreholes, schools, and homes with the truth. Let every corner of Lango echo with justice and wisdom. *This is not just politics—this is the survival of our people.*
