Monsignor Fr. Okalo served as the Vicar for the Clergy in Lira Diocese and was the Curate of Ober Catholic Parish. He also lectured in the Department of Psychology at Lira Universityโ€™s Faculty of Medicine, where he was deeply involved in mental health advocacy and education.

The 28-year-old Portuguese forward died in the accident in the early hours of Thursday morning near Zamora, in northwestern Spain.

His brother, Andre, was also killed in the crash on the Rias Bajas Highway (A-52) near Palacios de Sanabria, heading towards Benavente.

Prison authorities in Lango have decried the high level of congestion at Lira main prison.

Speaking at the opening of the plea bargain session, Godfrey Komakech, the Regional Prison Commander described the situation as โ€œextreme,โ€ saying the situation is deplorable.

Lawrence Egole, the Lira Resident City Commissioner confirmed that the high number of inmates in prison saying itโ€™s always reported in their security meetings.
