NRM Primaries in Kibale County - Pallisa District boil up Oseku Richard the incumbent.

The road to victory won't be without its challenges for Oseku Richard as a contender like Hon. Okwi Constantine is also vying for the top spot. These candidates will undoubtedly give Hon. Oseku Richard a run for his money, making the NRM primaries a thrilling contest to watch in Kibale.

NRM Primaries Heat Up Gogonyo County - Pallisa District

The National Resistance Movement - NRM Primaries are set to intensify as Four Aspiring candidates, Hon. Orone Derrick (incumbent), Taligoola Ocula, Okoboi Joseph and Okinyom Isaac, throw their hats into the ring for the Gogonyo County NRM Flag Bearer Position.

Taligola Ejogorot, who lost to the incumbent (Pallisa Bambata) in the 2021 General election by a margin of just 66 votes, has determined to to give another try hoping for victory. Meanwhile, Okoboi & Okinyom are just having a rest & passing their time as they hope to be bought with Cash in favour of quiting the Race.

Statistics in Gogonyo County prove to us, 70.6% of the sampled respondents said they would vote for Derrick Orone, the incumbent MP who is followed by the former LC5 Chairperson of Paliisa district, Issa Bantalib Taligola, at 17.6%.

The race is on, and only time will tell who will emerge victorious and secure the NRM Flag Bearer Position for Gogonyo County 2026-2031.

The NRM Chairman for Mbale District, Moses Wambogo, has suspended all ongoing joint campaigns in the district following a tragic accident that claimed two lives and left several others critically injured in Bukiende Sub-County, Bungokho South.

The accident occurred on Wednesday when a truck carrying supporters of a parliamentary candidate for Bungokho South, lost control and veered off the road leaving Two supporters dead on the spot, while many others sustained serious injuries.

Today being a Sunday, 06 July is the last Send off of Nangobi Jane who has been working in Pallisa District as National Resistance Movement - NRM District Registrar.

Thanks go the the NRM DEC, Chairman NRM - Pallisa District Hon. Orone Derrick, Vice Hon. Ibrahim Aisu, Hon. Ochwa David, Hon. Kaala Kevin Ojinga, Hon Okwi Constantine, RDC Pallisa - Dhikusoka Majid etc having done a lot during this trying moment.

She will be laid to Rest at her Ancestral Home in Namalemba, Busembati.

Joint campaigns for National Resistance Movement (NRM) contenders in Butaleja District officially kicked off on Thursday in Bunyole East Constituency, with the first rallies held at Lubembe Primary School, Mazimasa Sub-county, and Bufujja Kachongha Town Council.

Father Arrested for Allegedly Killing Daughter in Kibaale

Police in Kibaale District have arrested Akileo Asiimwe for allegedly strangling his 3-year-old daughter following a domestic dispute. The incident occurred in Lwega village, Bubango sub-county.

Reports indicate Asiimwe quarreled with the child’s mother, who left home, leaving the girl in his care. Authorities allege he killed the child in retaliation. Investigations are ongoing as he remains in custody.
