I am not in Uganda by accident - Israel Mbonyi
Speaking to members of the press in Kampala this week, gospel musician Israel Mbonyi said he is deeply moved by the overwhelming love he has received since arrival, adding that he is not in the country by accident.
The Rwanda-based star is expected to minister live this Friday at Millenial Grounds (Former KCCA Grounds) and then at Mbarara University Inn grounds on 25th August, 2024
Addressing his heartily desire to win souls for Christ, through gospel music, Israel Mbonyi said his commitment was solidified by an encounter he had with God while pursuing a Pharmacy program in India.
“My time in India, pursuing a pharmacy course, was a pivotal period in my Christian journey, where I solidified my faith, even after being saved, and discovered a more profound sense of purpose,” he said.
On why he lives a humble life, even after filling up large venues in countries like Belgium, Mbonyi said: “The cost of fame is too high for me; I prefer the simplicity and freedom that comes with living a humble life.”
“His ministry has been a source of immense joy and inspiration to me, and I have no doubt that Uganda is on the cusp of a transformative awakening that will leave a lasting legacy,” Gospel musician Levixone said at the presser.
