‎Crystal Palace have been demoted from UEFA Europa League to the Europa Conference League despite winning the FA Cup after breaching Uefa’s multi-club ownership rules.
‎
‎Uefa ruled that Eagle Football Holdings, owned by John Textor, has influence over both Palace and Lyon, both of whom qualified for the Europa League. Lyon take precedence due to a higher league finish.

Uganda Cranes and New England Revolution FC midfielder Allan Oyirwoth shared photo moments with Inter Miami stars Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Sergio Busquets after their match yesterday.

Oyirwoth was an unused substitute as New England Revolution lost 2-1 to Messi’s Inter Miami on 10th July 2025. Messi scored both goals for Inter Miami, while Carles Gil scored for New England.

Oyirwoth joined New England Revolution from Uganda Big League side MYDA FC. He also featured for Amus College School in secondary school competitions.

‎In the group stage, they made an impressive start by thrashing Kagando 3-0, with Onyango Aaron netting a brace and Nicodemus adding a third. The second group match ended in a goalless draw against UIAHAMS.

‎In the quarterfinals, Mbale College faced Butabika. After a 1-1 draw, thanks to an equalizer from Anguyo, they held their nerve to win 4-2 on penalties and book a place in the semifinals.

Young Elephants Academy FC Lose Playoff by Forfeit but Still Promoted

Young Elephants Academy FC lost their Regional League playoff to Nebbi Central FC by forfeiture (3-0) after being found guilty of using an ineligible player.

However, both teams have been promoted to the FUFA Big League after FUFA expanded the league from 15 to 16 teams, with the additional slot awarded to Northern Uganda FA, benefiting Young Elephants.

Done Deal: Arsenal Confirm Christian Norgaard

Arsenal have completed the £15m signing of Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard from Brentford. He will wear shirt number 16.

Norgaard becomes the Gunners’ third summer addition, following Martin Zubimendi (£60m from Real Sociedad) and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga (£5m from Chelsea).

Arsenal are also in talks to sign Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres for £70m and have made a formal approach for Chelsea winger Noni Madueke.
