The 2025 edition, themed “Run for the Voice of Faith,” is set to take place on Sunday, April 13, and is aimed at supporting the establishment of the first Muslim radio station in Western Uganda.

“We are the champions of corporate social responsibility. Ugandans have supported us over the years by accepting and using our brands. It is only fair that we give back to the communities that have made us who we are,” said Mr. Kakaire.

He emphasized the importance of the 2025 Qadh Run not just to the region, but to the nation as a whole.

“This year's theme, ‘Run for the Voice of Faith’, aligns with our values as a company. Supporting the creation of a Muslim radio station is a cause that promotes community empowerment, access to information, and faith-based education. Radio remains a powerful tool for development, and we’re proud to be associated with this noble cause.”

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa is encouraging the public to participate in large numbers, highlighting that their presence and involvement directly contribute to the success of this meaningful initiative.

Honorable Mwine Mpaka Unveils Vision for Transformative Development at Thrilling Boda Boda Tournament Finals.
By Razak Banks Senior

Mbarara City, Uganda, 15th March 2025– The electrifying atmosphere at Kakyeka Stadium reached new heights this weekend as the Honorable Mwine Mpaka, Member of Parliament for Mbarara City South, not only crowned champions of the inaugural *Mwine Mpaka Boda Boda Tournament* but also shared his bold vision to propel the constituency into a model of excellence for Uganda.

Amid cheers and the roar of motorcycle engines, this reporter secured an exclusive one-on-one with the legislator, who radiated passion as he outlined his transformative agenda. “The people of Mbarara City South deserve leadership that delivers *real change*,” Mpaka declared, his voice resolute. “My mission is to champion inclusive development—household by household, street by street—through unity, transparency, and accountability. We’ve made strides, but the best is yet to come!”

A Legacy of Growth, A Future of Promise
Now in his second term, Mpaka highlighted Mbarara City South’s meteoric rise under his stewardship, recently ranked among Uganda’s fastest-growing constituencies. His achievements, he noted, stem from prioritizing infrastructure upgrades, expanding access to education, and driving socio-economic empowerment. “Sustainable growth isn’t a slogan—it’s our mandate,” he emphasized, vowing to intensify lobbying efforts for critical projects and partnerships with national programs like the Parish Development Model (PDM), immunization drives, and vocational training initiatives.

Boda Boda Glory and Community Unity
The tournament finals showcased both sporting brilliance and Mpaka’s commitment to grassroots engagement. Nyakayojo-based Katojo Boda Boda Stage clinched victory with a dominant 4-1 win over AgaKhan Boda Boda, earning roaring applause of a trophy and two brand-new motorcycles presented by the MP. In a surprise announcement, Mpaka pledged to expand next year’s tournament, promising six(6) motorcycles for winners who will reach the semi final level. “This isn’t just a game—it’s a symbol of teamwork and ambition,” he said, praising organizers for uniting youth and riders.

A Constituency on the Rise
As the sun set on Kakyeka Stadium, Mpaka left no doubt about his resolve: “Together, we’ll build a Mbarara City South where every voice matters, every dream is supported, and progress leaves no one behind.” With roaring motorcycles and a community buzzing with pride, the message was clear—the journey to transformative leadership has only just begun.
