Call for Internship Applications: Investigative Journalists

We are excited to announce an internship opportunity for aspiring investigative journalists who are eager to make a difference through impactful storytelling and rigorous research. This program is designed for individuals passionate about uncovering the truth, holding power accountable, and contributing to the public discourse.

Internship Overview

The investigative journalism internship will provide hands-on experience in the field of journalism, focusing on in-depth reporting and analysis. Interns will work closely with seasoned journalists and editors, gaining valuable insights into the investigative process, from story conception to publication.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct thorough research on assigned topics, utilizing various sources including public records, interviews, and databases.

Assist in developing story ideas that address significant social issues or injustices.

Participate in interviews with sources, ensuring ethical standards are maintained throughout the process.

Collaborate with team members to analyze data and identify trends relevant to ongoing investigations.

Write articles and reports that adhere to journalistic standards of accuracy and fairness.

Attend editorial meetings and contribute ideas for future stories.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in journalism, communications, or a related field.

Strong writing skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

Ability to think critically and approach complex issues analytically.

Familiarity with digital tools for research and reporting (e.g., social media platforms, databases).

A commitment to ethical journalism practices.
