Fifteen candidates have been rejected from the ongoing Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) recruitment exercise in Teso Sub-region after they were found with allegedly forged academic documents.

The candidates were among hundreds who turned up for the recruitment exercise targeting 690 applicants from Teso and Bukedi sub-regions.

Lt Nasser Mane, the Public Information Officer for Team Eight which is overseeing recruitment in the two regions of Teso and Bukedi said the suspects were intercepted from Kapelebyong, Katakwi and Amuria districts.
