and Mees Promotions are proud to announce the launch of the 2025 Hand-shift Shootout, a four-round vintage flat track race series, celebrating the roots of the sport.
This unique series will spotlight hand-shift, brakeless motorcycles, paying tribute to the legacy and tradition of flat track racing as it once was.
Round 1 fires off on Thursday, June 26th at the in Lima, OH, during the Thursday amateur program. The roar of vintage iron will kick o the championship in front of a packed crowd of flat track diehards.
From there, the series rolls into Round 2 at the legendary Roeder Racing event, The Wauseon Nationals, in Wauseon, OH, on Friday July 18th.
Round 3 hits Davenport, IA, on Thursday August 28th, at the Davenport Half Mile- another Roeder Racing event. After these 3 rounds, the top 6 riders (plus two Provisionals) will be seeded into the championship finale.
The final showdown happens at the iconic on Saturday, August 30th, during the Triple Challenge and along the AMCA Springfield Mile Swap Meet, for the first time ever.
The Hand-Shift Shootout finale will not only determine a champion but serve as a moving tribute to the early heroes of American flat track.
As an added bonus, the top 8 finishers from Round 1 at Lima, will return to the spotlight for a special exhibition race during Saturday’s Grand National Flat Track Main Event, giving fans an unforgettable look at vintage racing in front of a national audience.
