SUNDAY RAIN CHANCES 9/20

You heard that right!! Now I just need Mother Nature to pull through⛈️🤞

The ingredients are aligning for us to see some rain not once but potentially twice!

First round would be overnight Saturday into Sunday morning. Initial storms will come off the Rockies then head towards Lubbock Sat PM, before pushing into West Central Texas overnight. Mostly counties west of Abilene will see these storms. Several could become strong to severe with the main threat being gusty winds.

Second round will be late afternoon/evening. We may have some time to heat back up after morning storms which would allow more storms ahead of a cold front. If we keep too much cloud cover, that could be a problem for these chances. You have been warned... Again if any storms become strong to severe, gusty winds will be the main threat.

Rain totals are *currently* looking very good with most of the DMA seeing a tenth to half of an inch then isolated areas seeing 1"+. I say currently bc this could very well change again before Sunday... again you have been warned.

I am hopeful! Models have trended up thet past 2 days, just need it to stick. A video explainer is coming soon and as always, more updates to come!
