PERSONAL "BUSINESS" STORY OF ENCOURAGEMENT:
We "opened our doors" in 2001 and hit the ground running. Nine years of business meetings, projects, clients, customers, business leadership roles and community volunteering. I enjoyed doing what I love: graphic design, branding and marketing. Networking and meeting people was icing on the cake. Business was good. In 2010, when I was pregnant with my 3rd, my husband and I decided it would be best to move my business to a place where our 2 children can play comfortably and safely instead of a boardroom. A place where I don't have to rush to the bathroom and nurse then wrap up a board meeting afterwards (yes, I was THAT woman who thought I could do it all-only to realize I had walked in with my button-up dress gaping ). I have since learned I can do it all, but NOT all at the SAME time. I took a more supportive civic role in our community in regards to leadership and volunteering. We transitioned into a home office and I became a SAHWM of 4. At first it was a time of uncertainty for me but I can say it was the best decision we ever made!!!!! It worked well for me, my husband and our children. The juggle was a struggle more times than one. I learned a lot about myself, about trust, letting go and surrendering. God taught me some of my greatest lessons through my children at this time. My husband continues to be my rock, picking up business responsibilities and using his strengths in areas needed. Sometimes I wanted to run for a job that helped our growing family more but I quickly learned about God's faithfulness. Some of my biggest clients have come at this time. Why should I have been surprised at the power of God and how He works? He is greater than our hearts, he knows everything.
Our children are little older now and the girls have acquired a love for Art, drawing and design. They understand the times mommy needs to work or "play the quiet game" during a call. Our little guy puts his best on and makes job deliveri
