Glad I skipped the chores to take the babies out for a bit. I was joined by all the critters- Zeke, Kita Cat, Frosty and Pixie. The silkies are getting properly socialized. It’s a zoo. 😍

Speaking of bird brains…. The little Polish mop heads are seriously challenged. They are going out of their way to unalive themselves.

The big green coop has a few areas where we haven’t finished adding the hardware cloth but it’s areas the birds never sidle up to. Until the Polish moved in. Instead of the nice safe roost or the fully enclosed coop they snuggled up to the door on ground level with their tiny heads poking out! Are you kidding me?!!!

Every night I have to pick them up and place them in the coop. 🤦‍♀️ Genius….

Another morning of slinging hay in business attire. Ugh. I didn’t love feeding chickens at 5:30 AM while the coyotes were still howling. Rest assured none of the chickens were let out at that hour.
