🌱 Frugal Tip: Grow Your Groceries! 🥕🌶️🍅

Gardening isn’t just a hobby — it’s a smart, money-saving move! Whether you’ve got a big backyard or a few pots on the porch, growing your own food helps your family eat better, waste less, and spend smarter.

Here are a few frugal gardening tips to get started:

✅ Start from Seeds – A $2 seed packet can grow enough veggies to feed your family all summer.
✅ Use Kitchen Scraps – Regrow green onions, lettuce, celery, and herbs right on your windowsill!
✅ Compost for Free Fertilizer – Save those veggie peels, eggshells, and coffee grounds. Nature does the rest.
✅ Grow What You’ll Eat – Focus on high-yield favorites your family actually enjoys (hello, tomatoes and cucumbers!).
✅ DIY Containers – Buckets, milk jugs, and even old totes make excellent garden pots.

💬 My favorite thing to grow? All kinds of peppers! 🌶️
They're colorful, versatile, and they just keep producing all season long!

Even a small harvest can cut your grocery bill and bring big satisfaction. Plus, it’s a fun way to get the kids involved and connect with nature.

🐔 Frugal Tip: Raise Chickens, Save Money! 💰🥚

We raise 9 chickens, and they lay more than enough eggs for our family of 6 — with extra to share or use in baking, breakfasts, and more!

Here’s why raising chickens can be a smart and frugal choice for your household:

✅ Free Eggs – Fresh, healthy, and always on hand — no more $5+ cartons at the store!
✅ Less Food Waste – Chickens love veggie scraps, stale bread, and leftovers. Nothing goes to waste!
✅ Natural Fertilizer – Their droppings are great for the garden and help you grow more food.
✅ Teaches Responsibility – Kids can help with care and chores, learning valuable life skills.
✅ Start Small – A simple coop and a few hens is all it takes to get started.

Backyard chickens are fun, educational, and definitely budget-friendly. If you’ve got a little space and a love for fresh eggs, this could be your next frugal win! 🐣

💡 Frugal Tip of the Day: Shop Your Home First! 🏡

Before heading to the store, take a moment to check what you already have. You might be surprised by how often we buy duplicates simply because we forgot what’s tucked away in a cabinet or closet.

🧼 Need cleaning supplies?
Check under the sink — there’s probably a half-used bottle waiting for you.

🎁 Need a birthday gift bag?
Look through your stash of wrapping supplies before buying another.

🍽 Planning dinner?
Base your meals around what’s in the fridge, freezer, or pantry before creating your grocery list.

Frugal living isn’t about restriction — it’s about being resourceful. Every time you “shop your home,” you save money and avoid clutter. Win-win! 💰

🧺 Decluttering Isn’t Just About Space — It’s About Peace. ✨

Living frugally isn't just about saving money — it's also about making the most of what you already have. And that starts with clearing out the clutter.

Here’s the truth:
👉 Clutter costs you.
It wastes your time, takes up your space, and even causes you to spend more (because you can’t find what you already own!).

💡 Try this:
• Pick one area — a drawer, a closet, or a shelf.
• Sort into 3 categories: Keep, Donate, Trash.
• Ask: Have I used this in the last year? Do I really need it?
• Set a timer for 15 minutes. Just start — that’s the hardest part!

🧼 The result?
More space. Less stress. And a fresh perspective on what truly adds value to your life.

You don’t have to do it all today — but you can do one small thing right now. 🧘‍♀️

💬 What's one thing you decluttered recently that felt amazing to let go of?
