The Winter Wheat festival of writing was awesome as usual! We had a great time sharing Polaris, and attending workshops. Our faculty advisor presented on publishing, and we went out to lunch. Two former Polaris editors stopped by for a chat are shared with current Polaris folks how much their time in Polaris has helped them after graduation! It was lovely!

Polaris has had a wonderful busy few weeks. We had our Scary Rapid Fire Reading and Costume contest, and we went to the Winter Wheat festival of writing. We even had some former Polaris editors who graduated in 2020 stop by for a visit!

We’re excited for this Thursday’s lecture—our own Dr. Pitts has been invited to present as a part of the A & S Connections lecture series on his Fulbright experience, “The Silk Road to America: My Fulbright Journey.” Students, faculty, and staff are welcome!

Staff members had a blast at Winter Wheat this past weekend at BGSU. Our amazing advisor was even the keynote speaker!

Our annual Spooky Rapid Fire Reading and costume contest was a great success! Folks read original work, work by Edgar Allan Poe, and more! The costume contest was particularly amazing this year, giving the faculty judges a wonderful and difficult job! We had a cowboy horse salesman, complete with a flow chart, Pitbull, Wednesday Adams, a book fairy, Jason, Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls, and among many other incredible costumes! Thank you as always to ONU English and Ohio Northern University Art and Design for hosting us in the Elzay Gallery!
