đź©° Second-year student Rachel Chandler has been dancing for 16 years. Those years span competitive studios, local spaces, and now collegiate dance. Each phase demands something different from her, yet all are connected by the same constant: commitment.

When I asked her, “When you strip away the applause, the mirrors, and the audience, who are you when you dance?” her answer wasn’t something easily defined.

Instinct. Intention. Impact. đź’

There is no room for hesitation in sports photography. The perfect action shot will come and go in a blink of an eye, never witnessed again unless you, the photographer, capture it in your lens.

💭 Imagine you’re in a sorority or fraternity chapter at your university, and you have a week during your spring semester where you and your sorority sisters or fraternity brothers can enjoy a little friendly competition. Doesn't that sound like a fun way to relieve the stress of college?

Well, each spring semester at Ohio Northern University, the Greek community puts on Greek Week.

🏆 The Humanities at Ohio Northern: Competing Nationally—and Winning

Honors Day is a day of many emotions. There’s the enthusiasm of watching students present their critical and creative research. There’s the pleasure of witnessing students being inducted into a panoply of honors societies. And there’s the melancholy feeling of saying the first of many farewells to students about to graduate.

One emotion in particular struck me intensely this year. As department chair of English, Philosophy & Religion, I take pride in the work of my colleagues and our students. Read more ⬇️

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been a hot topic in the educational field for years, but now some of Ohio Northern University’s (ONU) classes and services are beginning to take advantage of its applications.

After attending a conference put on by EDUCAUSE, Chief Information Officer Jeff Rieman began promoting a program called Ovation across campus.

Let’s address the animal in the room, whether it’s a chicken or a pig. The McIntosh dining hall food is not good. It's edible, though most of the time it doesn’t even seem like it. The only options you can really trust is the food that isn’t already cooked or prepared.
.. But this low quality food isn’t the staff’s fault, it’s the company that our college has chosen to supply our food: Sodexo.

🍕 Though pizza is delicious in all forms, labeling its shape as irrelevant would be a lie.

There are many options for cutting the traditional circular snack, ranging from strips to stars to the many polygons. However, the most common shapes in which pizza is divided into are squares and triangles.

But which of these geometrical constructions shape up to be the most convenient, fair, and, frankly, better form? Read to find out 👉 https://bit.ly/pizza-geometry

“To collect photographs is to collect the world.”

Those words are inscribed on the first page of Susan Sontag’s 1977 essay On Photography. Her commentary discusses the cultural importance of photography and how the art form impacts our understanding of the world.

Photography does not look the same today as it did when Sontag wrote her essay 50 years ago. We are no longer collecting the world through photographs as Sontag once described; our control over the narrative has been lost. Photographs are now reshaping the way we see the world and our place within it.
