We've updated our menu! We've been working behind the scenes over the last few months to make some improvements and make sure our prices reflect the quality goods we're sending your way. We also have a brand new way (and much simpler) way to order! Use the QR code below (if you're on your phone, save it your phones, go into the photo and it will scan it) to place your order and get your total. We're still just a Venmo or cash operation but we're really able to streamline things with this new process.

Good morning friends! I have a little favor to ask 😬 if you have tried and loved any of our baked or canned goods, would you be so kind as to head on over to our page and leave a review of your favorite item/s? It’s one thing for me to tell someone how good the muffins or dill pickles are, but it’s a whole lot better when they can go look at reviews and see what the masses are saying. I appreciate you all!

My sweet friend Kat over at spoke some wisdom over me last week. I had just finished a busy week volunteering at our church’s VBS and I was getting ready to head off to a relaxing girls weekend. We were talking business relating to our Wild + Free group and then she said, “ok, no more. We’ll talk about it when you get back. I need you to go shine for yourself.” And then she spoke the words in the quote above and it touched my heart in such a big way 🥹

This is a lesson I am learning during this season of deployment, but one I need to cling to in all seasons. I tend to be a “yes” woman, whether it’s “do you want to go (insert activity that sounds so fun I throw all logic out the window), or “hey, would you be interested in helping us out with ________”, or even “let’s take a homeschool field trip!”

None of these things are bad. In fact, many of them bring me so much joy when they’re done with intentionality and consideration. But when I say yes from a place of people pleasing, obligation, or yes, even the dreaded FOMO, it never turns out well. It generally ends with overwhelm, anxiety, and sometimes even resentment.

So for all my fellow “yes” women (and men!) out there, I hope this is a reminder that we must protect our family’s peace at all cost. It’s okay to say no 🤍

Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸 We’re celebrating by taking it slow, throwing out the to-do list, and yeah, it will for sure end in fireworks 💥 this year looks different for a lot of reasons and initially I was really in my feels about it but then I realized, as with so much during this deployment, this is just a season. It won’t be forever and probably won’t even be next year. So for today, our celebration is small and quiet and I’m okay with that.

When we moved, I was so nervous about finding “my people” in our new town. I grew up in the area we lived in before and we were so established with our community there, I didn’t really know how to start fresh.

But then I found this Wild + Free chapter on a whim and figured I’d give it a shot. Now, a year later, I can’t imagine life without these ladies. Nights like tonight remind what a precious treasure friendship is.

We were not made to be alone. We were made for community. And I’m so beyond grateful for mine. ❤️

1️⃣ YEAR

Yesterday marks 1 year since we said goodbye to our Marietta house and moved into our camper. We have experienced the highest of mountain tops and the lowest of valleys throughout this last year. We’ve discovered that, while there were days that felt a little cramped or cluttered, living in a camper isn’t that bad (as long as you have that light at the end of the tunnel 😂). We’re still getting plugged into our new community but have already met so many wonderful people and I can’t wait to see where God takes us.

Things I will never again take for granted:
🛀 soaking in the bathtub
🥘having plenty of space to prep and cook
🍞being able to bake (propane ovens just don’t cut it)
🍽️a dishwasher!
👗closet space
…but most of all I will never take for granted the space we will have in our new home after living in a 34’ fifth wheel for a year ❤️

We are on track to get our CO (and subsequent go-ahead to move in) on Friday so please join us in prayer that everything goes smoothly and we stay on track!

Finally got to use my egg apron bought for me because…..I had to retrieve EIGHT eggs from the hay in the barn loft! I couldn’t figure out how I was going to climb back down the ladder with all those eggs and then I remembered my apron 😍

What a morning! When we went to open the coop this morning, we were missing one of our buff girls. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find her. Then my grandma goes out looking for her and finds her up in the barn loft, nestled between hay bales…sitting on FOUR eggs (I left one in the nesting box for her)! 😱I’m all for baby chicks but we we have to have enough to eat first 😅
