🐝 The new Bug Lab exhibit, opening soon at the Perot Museum, is for every kid who’s ever been entranced by honeybees or lightning-fast dragonflies. It’s a view of larger-than-life models, with hands-on stations and actual bug specimens that make learning about them all the more fascinating.

Now through July 13, nominations are open for your family’s trusted dentists, orthodontists or other dental specialists. Want to give them a well-deserved shoutout? Take a moment to leave a review (link in the comments) and tell us why you would recommend them to other parents.

👍 What is “Mom Approved”? That’s our term for healthcare practitioners who have gone above and beyond to earn parents’ trust, admiration and respect. This could be because of their bedside manner, flexibility, professional acumen—you tell us!

🚫 Please note that nominations will not be accepted from co-workers, family members, marketing reps or industry colleagues. We are only looking for local parents (Moms and Dads) and caregivers in DFW who can give unbiased opinions.

Coming up soon: a special, one-weekend-only production of The Little Mermaid. And part of what’s to love is that 75% of ticket proceeds go to saving sea turtles. It’s a win-win.

Come see one of the four performances inside a historic Dallas theater, though Sunday is the best day for little kids who’d like to meet Ariel. She’ll be greeting kids at a special tea party with snacks, crafts and a sweet sing-along.

Tap the link in the comments below for all the details on this and more of our weekend family favorite events.
