This is a different kind of “Dear Jon” letter.
Jon Antelek single-handedly saved my film.
We had started production with a crash and a bang. Everything that could’ve gone wrong did! It was enough to break even the most passionate of filmmakers.
After losing our secondary lead (yes, we lost the initial) due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts. I felt the film may never be completed. I was scared, pessimistic, and lost.
But then thanks to my costume designer (Chey Ely) she pointed me in the direction of aspiring musician and actor: Jon Antelek.
Jon and I hit it off right away. His ardency and enthusiasm for the craft was overwhelmingly obvious in all the right ways. I knew I had discovered a soul I could count on.
Jon and I have worked and toiled through the script and the character he plays for hours and hours on end. Sculpting Jon into our film’s lead: “Dogman” Daryl.
I would compare Jon’s acting style and drive to that of an early Luke Wilson. But that would be underselling just how wonderful of a player Jon is.
Jon is a powerful, versatile, and indelible actor. I don’t know where the production, nor where I would be without him.
Thank you Jon for your patience, time, and presence on set. I’m looking forward to walking down the carpet with you at our premiere.
Best wishes,
-Braden Britt
