We’re going to leave the vendor applications open through this Friday. You can register at https://www.tucumcarimainstreet.org/fired-up

We are going to open the Turner Room up to six indoor vendor spaces. Those spaces will be $50 per space. These are on a first come first serve basis. We will not hold a space without a vendor agreement and payment.

So much change on the road. But that has always been Route 66's character.

Life is an interesting thing, you make plans in one direction and end up in a different one. I think something most will agree with is that each of our life stories are made up of chapters. Some chapters are long and some short, some happy and some sad, some have twists and turns while others are almost boring and mundane. Something I think that goes without saying is that to start a new chapter one must close the current one.

This being said, I feel that I have reached that “fork in the road” where I must close a chapter to start the next one. To do this I must find that special person that will take Gearhead Curios into its next chapter. As hard as this decision has been to make it needs to happen. If you or someone you know believe you or they are that person, please contact me for details.

LOL this is cute.

Nothing new, simply a repost for the new folks who haven't seen this.

Somewhere out on the Mother Road, between a fiberglass Giant holding a rocket and a diner selling pie, somebody decided a fire hydrant needed a promotion.

Wherever this is at and whoever painted this - I owe you a beer or an ice cold soda, either one.

Simply brilliant!

They took a plain green hydrant and turned it into Mission Control. White bucket helmet, serious astronaut stare, and across both arms in perfect hot-rod script: "Launching Pad."

This is what happens in the heartbeat of Route 66.

NASA has Cape Canaveral, we have the front yard launch facility.

Lowest budget space program in history, but highest success rate.

Every dog in a 3-block radius has already done a flyby inspection.

Houston, we have hydration.

It is one of the state's coolest spots, literally an oasis, albeit a very warm one half the year!

Head on over to St Charles, MO, and . This little town, just outside of St. Louis, is one of the coolest, most historic towns in the state and they are right, this event is a fantastic introduction to what a visit there offers. Check them out.
