In my opinion, this is one of the best things about being human and having free will - at any point in our lives, we can make a choice to change. Whether it's what we eat, what we wear, what we say, what we feel, what we do - all of it's a choice, and all of it is ours to make.

What choices are you bringing with you into the new year? What ones are you leaving behind?

For me, I'm bringing the choice to be someone who has a consistent practice of yoga and meditation. Someone who is dedicated to her business and making connections with people.
I'm leaving behind the choice to procrastinate or have an unclear vision of what I want. I'm leaving behind disorganization. I'm leaving behind perfectionism and imposter syndrome. ✨

You ever have a moment in the middle of doing something, like working out, where you just feel so behind and out of your element compared to someone you're watching or learning from that you're just like "f**k it" and ready to quit?

I know for me, I had an AHA moment today where I realized that I wanted to give up completely rather than take a break (I was working out).

And I took a moment and thought, wait, why would I rather give up in anger and frustration, instead of just taking a minute to pause and catch my breath and finish the workout?

It occurred to me then the perfectionistic viewpoint I was holding - that if I couldn't do this workout as well as the instructor, I should just stop all together. Because taking a break is the same thing as failing, so might as well fail all the way.

And I was like "damn girl!". What an explosive reaction to needing to take a break while working out when someone else didn't.

So, I had an AHA moment with my relationship of taking breaks and honoring where I'm at today. I realized that taking a breath to recoup and get myself back to a place where I'm enjoying what I'm doing again is vital - and it doesn't mean I'm a failure. It means I love and respect myself enough to know when I need to pause, take a second, and come back stronger.

When I realized that confidence was built based upon successful attempts at completing something, I had such a lightbulb moment!

The reason why we don't feel confident when trying something new, is because WE'VE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE!

Well, that makes sense, right? How do we build comfort in trying something new then?

By making it smaller - less scary. Taking a big goal (like losing 20 lbs) and making smaller steps out of it (like light exercise for 5 min a day, ie. walking) has, for me, been an absolute game changer in my confidence in being able to achieve goals, create new habits, and make a new lifestyle for myself.

What goal do you have that seems intimidating or far away? What smaller step can you add that'll feel good to accomplish, but isn't the big picture goal? ✨

Cosmic Crow Healing was founded back in June of 2022, with the mission of bringing spiritual, mental, and energetic healing to the world, and freeing people's souls.

I specialize in Reiki therapy, as well as sound healing, and working with dragons. I have been on a mission to not only heal myself, but to heal those around me, and to bring love and to every interaction that I have.
