A Simi Valley family is searching for their mom, 65-year-old Raushan Aitpayeva, who was last seen around 1 p.m. on July 11 near Kadota and Waco streets, walking in the direction of Tapo and Alamo streets.

The family is working with the Simi Valley Police Department in the effort to locate her. Anyone who may have seenRaushan or has information about her whereabouts is urged to contact police at (805) 583-6950 or the family at (424) 535-9351.

Family members and supporters will gather at 6 p.m. today (July 17) at the covered benches near the Senior Center at Rancho Tapo Community Park to coordinate their next steps and organize additional search efforts.

MISSING PERSON UPDATE: Nancy David has been located and is safe.

The Simi Valley Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating Nancy David, a 62-year-old female with special needs. Nancy was last seen in the area near Berylwood Park located at 1955 Bridget Ave. shortly after 10:00 am after leaving for a walk. Nancy is 5’2”, weighs 125 pounds, and was wearing a light-colored shirt, black pants, black sneakers, and glasses.
If Nancy is located, please call the Simi Valley Police Department immediately at (805) 583-6950.

A group of young campers had finished their day’s activities and members were waiting to be picked up when a limb from an oak tree unexpectedly crashed down from above them. One child was killed and five other people injured in the fatal July 9 incident at King Gillette Ranch near Calabasas.
