Weekend plans, anyone? ☀️

If you’re looking for something fun to do around the Valley, here are a few ideas:

🚗 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction (Jan 16–18)
Even if you’re not buying a classic car, it’s still so fun to walk around, people watch, and see the insane cars up close.

🎈 Arizona Balloon Classic at Wild Horse Pass (Jan 16–18)
Hot air balloons glowing at sunrise and sunset = pure magic. Such a great one for families, date nights, or just soaking in those Arizona views.

🥕 Ahwatukee Farmers Market (Sunday, 9–1)
Grab coffee, stroll, support local vendors, and stock up on fresh goodies for the week.

Which one are you adding to your weekend plans? 🌵

New year, new visions ✨
Have you created a vision board yet?

Nothing fancy. No pressure. Just a few images and words that feel like where you’re headed this year. Sometimes seeing it in front of you is the reminder you didn’t know you needed.

How to (keep it simple):

Grab a few magazines or catalogs you already have.

Tear out anything that catches your eye, words, places, moods, goals.

Tape or pin them to a board, your fridge, or a wall you see daily.

Step back and notice the patterns. That’s your vision taking shape.

Fresh start, fresh sips. 💧🍊🍓

If there’s one small change that makes a big impact this year, it’s drinking more water, and infused water makes it deliciously easy. From blueberry & orange to cucumber, lemon & mint, these simple combos are packed with flavor, antioxidants, and feel-good benefits.

Hydration, but elevated. ✨
Save this for your next grocery run and try one this week.

You’ll love the flavors… and the added health benefits. 💚

Mental health conversations are changing and that matters. 🤍

More people are reaching out.
Less stigma around asking for help.
Support is available 24/7 when it’s needed most.

Here in our community, Solari plays a critical role answering crisis calls, texts, and chats, and connecting people to real help in real moments. No judgment. Just support.

This story highlights how access, awareness, and compassion are saving lives every day.

You can grow food in the desert. 🌵
Yes, even here.

This backyard started with one raised bed and turned into a thriving food garden in the Arizona heat. No acres. No perfection. Just smart timing, patience, and learning what actually works in our climate.

✨ Desert gardening takeaways we loved:
• Start small (always)
• Water early morning or late evening
• Shade cloth + mulch = summer survival
• Healthy soil changes everything
• Timing matters more than anything

If you’ve ever thought:
“I kill plants.”
“It’s too hot here.”
“I don’t have the space.”

This is your sign 🌱

Welcome to our January issue.
Welcome to starting from the ground up.
January is our invitation to slow down, reset, and build with intention.

This month’s issue of Ahwatukee City Lifestyle is rooted in the idea that what we nurture today, our health, our homes, our routines, our relationships becomes what sustains us tomorrow. From whole foods and skincare rituals to meaningful conversations around mental health, this issue is about creating a strong foundation for the year ahead.

Whether you’re planting seeds in garden soil or in the lives around you, January reminds us that growth doesn’t have to be rushed it just has to be intentional.
