The Czech Republic banned Chinese AI firm DeepSeek from government work after its national cybersecurity watchdog flagged risks of unauthorized data access. DeepSeek is required to share data with Chinese authorities and has been banned by other countries including Australia and Italy.

The move follows similar steps by some other countries, including Italy and Australia.

The Philippines is committed to strengthening its air defenses, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said during the Philippine Air Force’s (PAF) 78th anniversary. His remarks came shortly after the Defense Department announced the acquisition of 12 FA-50 Block 70 light combat aircraft from Korea Aerospace Industries, under a $700 million deal finalized in early June.

The package includes mission equipment, integrated logistics support, training and a logistics information system. Marcos emphasized the government’s efforts to equip the PAF with the best possible tools, training and facilities.
