Julie Barth is a mother of six and trauma survivor whose mission is to transform personal hardship into inspiration and advocacy. Her journey began when her second daughter, Tayt, was born with Primordial Dwarfism, leading to years of surgeries and medical challenges. Shortly after her young husband Colin’s diagnosis and passing from stage-four pancreatic cancer, Julie faced further adversity, including Tayt’s rare cancer and a decade of emotional and financial abuse in her second marriage.

Julie is also the CEO and founder of the Colin James Barth Outreach, a nonprofit dedicated to helping women-led households with the resources and aid necessary to find security and stability in times of crisis. Her mission is to use her experiences as caregiver, special needs parent, emotional abuse victim, and trauma survivor to encourage women in similar situations to think resourcefully and always protect themselves without stigma or feelings of selfishness. The Colin James Barth Outreach is supported by The Gabby Petito Foundation.

🔥 Recognizing Peace ✌️
Illness, grief, and people will all have an influence on me, my future, and my path, but for the first time, I realize that only I can chose whether I allow the battles to take me or if I just address those things that I must, and leave the rest where it sits. In a place where it can’t touch or take me if I don’t allow it.

No one can make me sad, but me.

No one can make me angry, but me.

No one can control me, but me.

Those who love you will know the truth about who you are, what you’re capable of, and what’s real.

Those who don’t give you the floor to tell your truth, weren’t your people after all.

You are not alone. You are more powerful than you think, and most importantly, you deserve better.

When you’re in a “relationship” with a narcissist, they lack the empathy necessary to care how their actions affect you. For them, the push and pull, manipulation and control, and emotional abuse are just a part of the game they wish to win…dominance.

The winning edge is something they enjoy at your emotional expense.

‼️No, it isn’t you. Yes, you are being messed with, and more importantly, the game will not end until they have taken everything possible from you. The only way to “win” is to walk.

Hear that again, the only way to win is to walk. 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹😞

If you are facing a tough situation, know that nothing lasts forever and when you get on the other side of it, you will begin to heal and make sense of what seems so senseless right now.

Everything happens for a reason, even if it might not be what we want. When you get beyond it, you will see why it had to happen and the path that it set you on. BUT, that doesn't discard the pain you are going through.

Give yourself the same grace you give to others, tackle things only as they come, and try to find peace in the little moments that are there to guide you through. You are not in it alone, that I know...🫶❤️‍🩹🙏🏼
