If you’re heading down to Rocky Point, we would greatly appreciate it if you could help us transport a bag or two to Barb’s Dog Rescue on your way into town. ❤️

Since only a limited amount of dog food can cross at one time, travelers play such an important role in helping us get food to the rescue dogs waiting for care and full bellies. 🐶

⚠️ Traveler Update – Lukeville Point of Entry ⚠️

We wanted to share an important update for anyone traveling to Mexico with pets through the Lukeville Port of Entry.

As of July 1, travelers may be required to provide a screwworm certificate or have their pet inspected to ensure there are no signs of screwworm before crossing.

At this time, this is the information that has been provided to us by border officials. We are simply sharing it with our community to help travelers be prepared. We are not setting or enforcing these regulations ourselves.

We are not yet sure how strictly this will be enforced, but we wanted to give everyone a heads up that inspections/checks may be taking place. Once we receive confirmed updates, we will continue to keep everyone informed.
