Rubber City ReSisters

Rubber City ReSisters Welcome to the Official page for The Rubber City ReSisters Podcast! We will cover local Northeast Ohio happenings to the ever changing national news.

The Rubber City ReSisters formed organically, after four of its members sat in the same room directly following running a fundraiser for the Democratic candidates in the 2021 Georgia runoff for the US Senate seats. Our unique group of seven powerhouse women (in their own right) will dive into topics of discussion that will vary greatly; from racial inequality to women’s rights, living life as an L

GBTQIA+ person and the issues attached intermixed with positive pieces about life in general. As our name suggests, we are fueled by a mutual undercurrent of rage, the fight for equity for all, and overall survival in what can be a volatile, but beautiful world.

It’s time.

With book bans rising, rights under attack, and communities being pitted against each other, the silence is no longer an option. That’s why we’re bringing back the Rubber City ReSisters Podcast.

We started this podcast to speak truth, amplify voices, and stand up to the forces that thrive on division and fear. Now, more than ever, we need bold conversations, honest storytelling, and unapologetic advocacy.

Because while the times may be troubling, we are not powerless.

We are relaunching. Reclaiming. Resisting.
Stay tuned.

Sister Resister offers insight into her own life as she helps others deal with death.
"Behind the closed door, I cried. I started to think about how Kenny Jr. wouldn’t get to chase his dreams. How he wouldn't even graduate elementary school, let alone college. My dad opened the closet just as I began to come to terms with his death. He looked at me. Smiled. He whispered, “I love you” and shut the door. He knew I needed to be alone. I needed to know he was there for me, but I had to find a way out of the closet."
