Dear White Teacher is back for 2024. Took a short hiatus but the first episode for the year is up now and I took some time to share about my experience at the . It was an amazing experience and I learned so much and so in this episode, I didn’t invite a guest, I just shared a couple of my key takeaways from the session I attended: Reaching and Teaching Boys.

I wrote the book “Talking Points” to be a resource for single mothers to have tough conversations with their sons. Now, it has become a resource to educators to give you a glimpse of the occurrences that take place in the homes of many black and brown students. We discuss hygiene, s*x, police, violence, emotions, education and more. Principal is speaking to the book study we did with her entire teaching staff where her student population is 99% black. Many of you have made it through a whole pandemic and returned to classrooms and had to adapt to new challenges and what some would call a new normal even as others seek to find what normal even looks like anymore. You are appreciated and please be encouraged. You are necessary and valuable! Keep using your superpowers and make impact in the communities and classrooms that you serve!
