It’s ! This time of year wouldn’t be complete without everyone's favorite treat! Tell us which kind of cookie is your favorite in the comments.
Some of us are once again on set today, shooting a new commercial for one of our clients. We will be sure to share the final product once it is completed!
We got the chance to have a little belated gathering today. It is always a great time when we step away from our busy days to spend some quality time together.
Join us today in wishing our co-worker Beverly a very happy birthday. Beverly - may your day be as special as you are.
Always a great team of extras when shooting at Wood County Hospital WCH Wood County Hospital
We are in Bowling Green, Ohio this week shooting a new brand campaign for Wood County Hospital. Check out a few behind the scenes photos!
No-Shave November has come and gone and Hollis and Philip’s significant others couldn’t be happier. Today they broke out the razors and are new men!
On the plus side, it was for a good cause and they did save a little time in the AM all month. (Having to shave did make them both a little late for work today.)
Thanks for supporting a great cause guys!
Today we pay our respects to all our veterans. We celebrate and honor them for their patriotism, love of country and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.
To everyone who has served or is currently serving in the United States Armed Forces… thank you!
It is No-Shave November! No-Shave November is a month-long journey where participants forgo shaving and raise funds for cancer research and treatment while educating the population about preventative measures. Its focus is on cancer because Matthew Hill, the husband and father of the family that founded the organization died from colon cancer in 2007. According to the website, it has raised more than $10 million.
Hollis and Philip are in! They are putting down their razors, skipping their waxing appointments and letting their legs and pits go au naturel. Check back at the end of the month.
Happy Halloween! Even though we can't celebrate together this year, several Knox team members made a treat at home (or at least purchased one) to show their Halloween spirit. And we want you all to determine the fan favorite. Post your comments below!
Summit County Public Health and its community partners strive to provide culturally competent and supportive care in safe and welcoming environments.
They challenged us with finding ways to get messaging out to help reduce the stigma associated with having an HIV diagnosis, help increase trust in the health care system for HIV patients, increase reengagement in care and normalize HIV testing. Get tested. Get meds. Get living.
Our tactics included utilizing video interviews and Facebook posts/ads of HIV positive community members to help combat the stigma of diagnosis. We also utilized digital ads and a :15 HIV video to users of dating apps and relevant websites.
WE WON! MarCom has honored excellence in marketing and communications since 2004. They are one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world. Each year approximately 6,000 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries.
This year we received four Platinum Awards (their highest level). Three were for Safe Choice projects for NOPEC… Integrated Marketing, Single Spot/Roller Coaster and Single Spot/Campaign. We are proud to partner with Ohio largest energy aggregator. The fourth Platinum was for the jewel on Main Street, Akron Civic Theater’s annual report. We love this place!
One level below Platinum are Gold Awards. We are thrilled to be sharing these awards with another great partner of ours, Knox Community Hospital. One was for a Single Spot/Moving Forward and the other was also a Single Spot/Many Moms.
We love going up against the world’s largest, most prestigious marketing and communication firms from little old Akron Ohio.
An increase in website visits of 3,974% (from 35 to 1,426), and over 5,600 social engagements (reactions, comments, saves and shares).
These are just a few indicators of how we helped Summit County Public Health raise awareness for PROJECT DAWN - a community-based drug overdose prevention and education project.
With a limited budget and a short timeframe, we launched an awareness program with outdoor boards and a Facebook campaign that targeted key audiences in Summit County.
With our tracking capabilities, we confirmed that PROJECT DAWN website users increased from 35 to 1,426 (3,974%) and visits from new users increased by 277%. Engagement on Facebook was outstanding, with 5,650 post engagements (reactions, comments, saves and shares).
If we help save just one life, then this was a successful campaign.
This past Saturday, our Associate Director of Media celebrated a BIG birthday. Congratulations Kathryn Seitzinger Miller! As a busy mother of two, wife and dog mommy, we are so grateful that she’s able to make time for her Knox family, too. A proud graduate of Revere High School and Miami University, this talented RedHawk can plan, negotiate, execute and reconcile with the best of them. We love her big personality and great sense of humor ALMOST as much as we love her big candy bowl! Happy Birthday Kathryn.
Our Boss is Cooler Than Your Boss.
In honor of Boss’s Day, we wanted to give a big thank you and shout out to one of the best! We all know and recognize Randy as a leader in the advertising industry. What you might not know is Randy’s childhood dreams were far removed from the advertising world.
Growing up Randy dreamed of being a Hollywood stuntman. While he never ventured to California, he got to live out his dreams at the Fantasy Island amusement park on Grand Island, NY just outside of Buffalo. During his summers off from Ohio University, Randy jumped from buildings, danced with Can-Can girls and fought with bad guys as a stuntman in their Wild West Shootout show – those Can-Can girls loved a man with a badge and a full head of hair!
Sure, your boss might offer free snacks at work, but can they protect you from outlaws?
What do you do in the middle of a pandemic when a Healthcare client urgently needs a new spot? The spot needed to focus on the importance of keeping community healthy, not delaying or ignoring healthcare needs, and that they are open, ready and safe? In June, that’s exactly what Knox Community Hospital needed. Within 3 weeks we produced the following “Moving Forward” TV spot. Taking every precaution, we filmed on-location in different clinical spaces and with various staff. Our ultimate objective: Informing their community they are helping keep their patients and staff safe during these unprecedented times.
𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐚 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞! Who knows the answer? Only one of our account team got it right. See the comments for the correct answer.
Everyone loves pizza. As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded in early Spring, the Summit County ADM Board knew that people would be feeling overwhelmed and isolated. They wanted to remind everyone that local behavioral health agencies and addiction services were open and ready to offer immediate help.
So, how do you get the word out when everyone was staying home and ordering carryout?
We created a grassroots effort and partnered with pizza shops in targeted ZIP codes to apply informational stickers listing behavioral health agencies and phone numbers to every pizza box.
44,000 stickers made it out into the community, with several pizza shops requested additional stickers. Many of their clients let them know that they appreciated their involvement. And, after ordering a pizza from a participating pizzeria, a psychiatrist contacted us for stickers. A great resource for her clients, she noted.
Let’s talk and see what kind of out of the box solution we can come up for you.
𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐚? Before the end of each day, our account team meets to discuss traffic for the next business day. Once that discussion is over, it is time for trivia. Can you answer today's question? Who got it right? See comments for the answer.
Every political season, the media landscape is inundated with political ads. Here are some ways to make sure your advertising dollars are most effective.

Right now, candidates and PACs are dominating the airways. Tips for breaking through the political ad clutter. 1. Place your media buy as ear...

Civista Bank wanted to stand out in a crowded marketplace. They wanted to create a connection with people and help first-time home buyers who can become home loan clients.
Now, we all know house shopping is fun, but most people don't want to get a bunch of 'sales' email or phone calls about home loans.
How do you get people to invite you to connect with them?
𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐑𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐍𝐎𝐖.
So, we created a low-commitment/high-value offer appealing specifically to first time homebuyers.
We tested it in multiple communities, testing different messages and images.
And the response was enormous.
Once the guide was downloaded, a short educational email campaign helps people get to know more about Civista Bank (and their loan services) - positioning them as the local bank who they can trust.

We're a close crew here at Knox, but even when it's just a bunch of us talking to each other some people are more professionally dressed and others are...well...not.
Just how casual is TOO casual?
How do you grab customers’ attention while still conveying a complex idea? In our most recent NOPEC campaign, we wanted to visually communicate how some for-profit energy providers rely on gimmicks and short-term savings to sway customers. These tactics never last.
To show how NOPEC is different, we produced a series of 3 different commercials using playful scenarios to demonstrate how non-profit NOPEC’s approach of buying electricity and natural gas in bulk and passing those savings to their customers, ensures they are the Safe Choice in a volatile utility market.
Hosting a video call? Here are some tips to help ensure you don’t embarrass yourself:
Dress professionally. No doubt you’ve been wearing your pajamas day in and out, but no one needs to see your stained SpongeBob t-shirt. Make sure you take time to wash your face, comb your hair and change into a clean shirt. Pants are optional.
Be cautious when sharing your screen. Before the call, take time to close any open browser windows and files. Close anything of a personal or confidential nature. Do you really want your co-workers knowing that you were just searching to see who got the highest scores on Dancing with the Stars last night?
Know where your mute button is. Young kids at home? The mute button is going to be your best friend.
Be aware of your surroundings. Your video camera has a much broader coverage area than you might realize. Haven’t done the dishes yet today? Your co-workers are judging you.
Changing the world can be tough. Just ask this Vancouver grocery store - they printed embarrassing things on their plastic bags to discourage usage, but people are loving this clever marketing campaign. www.nytimes.com/2019/06/12/world/canada/plastic-bags-embarassing-messages.html
A Vancouver store introduced plastic bags with embarrassing messages to persuade customers to bring reusable alternatives. The bags became a surprise hit on social media instead.
It's all about moving your audience through the funnel enabling them to become customers and form a relationship with your brand.

We just finished production on another Summa Health patient story. Thanks to TRG Studios, the awesome Summa team and Gary Jentes, our star patient. When patients have multiple problems, Summa physicians collaborate to provide multidisciplinary care across specialties. In Gary’s case, that meant weight loss surgery followed by a heart ablation. Now he’s back to his morning workouts and the woodworking he loves.
