Country Pet Rescue returns at 8:40 with Pay It Forward For Pets!

As we begin 2026, we are reminded of the state of affairs in animal welfare in Summit County. As an organization, we work feverishly to rescue and rehome orphaned pets; abandoned by humanity. These dogs didn’t ask for this life, yet they are living it in a very upsetting way.

Animals are thinking, feeling, and loving beings. They bond just as we bond. They have deep emotions just as we experience deep emotions. On behalf of selfless beings, our goal is to do much, much more in 2026.

We ask the community to reach out to our organization, Pay It Forward For Pets, in the New Year for free spay and neutering - and age-appropriate vaccines. This not only keeps the population of pets from multiplying, but it also results in a much, much healthier pet that lives a longer lifetime. This will be offered to qualifying pet owners as funds permit.

Today we introduce tiny Tim. His name describes him well as he is a little terrier, mix-breed boy. Thought to be just one year of age, he is full grown and weighs in at 30 pounds.

Tim came in with many scratches and wounds on his face and body. We don’t know what he went through, but we do know we can change his life through an appropriate adoption.

He’s bouncy, very kind and readily accepting of attention though he picks his canine friends wisely. This boy deserves to know love and value. Tim’s mix-breed is an example of the highest percentage of dogs in ALL shelters.

Tim is a city dog. Most people in the city are not aware of, nor have access to, low cost or NO COST spay and neuter services. Please help us spread the word in 2026. It’s a small thing to do to help us fix a very, very big problem. You can be part of the solution!
