Church of Starry Wisdom

Our band Church of Starry Wisdom is prepping the Dark Machine's cd/album release show NEXT FRIDAY the 21st at the Rialto Theatre in Kenmore/Akron, Ohio (Church of Starry Wisdom - Album Release Show). Come out for the party. We'll be pondering the glitches that reveal the cracks in our societal normitudes. DreamStates and Shivering Timbers are gonna set the night on fire and CoSW will build Another Earth with the ashes.

Milkweed - Trailer 1

COMING SOON from Ma'Sue Productions & Amazing Suspense Productions: a dramatic short/featurette (dare we dream backdoor pilot?) titled "MILKWEED." John Dayo-Aliya & Vince Tyree created this well-observed story about family trauma with characters too tough to be tragic. In our opinion, John is the best young playwright in Northeast Ohio (...Or Does It Explode?, O Patria Mia, A Happening on Imperial, Daybreak's Children, and Blue, Miss Billie). His theater balances the hard-hitting with the heart-felt, but always keeps it real even when surreal. We are proud to help bring you the cinematic writing/directing debut of Mr. Dayo-Aliya. Milkweed features moving performances by Jeannine Gaskin, Caorl Gibson-Eutsey, Crystle Paynther Collins, Willis Gordon, Keana Seals, and Princess Pointer. Camera work by
Thomas Matheis, Gunn Bennett, Andrew Arehart, Jack Arehart, and Amy Spencer. Kurt Brown was the camera tech. Editing and post-production by Ms. Spencer. Vince Tyree recorded audio & held everything together by carrying the biggest production load. Additional production help was provided by Mr. Dayo-Aliya, Mr. Brown, Amy Spencer, Ian D. Kroyer, and Sharon Spencer. Craft services were donated by the incredibly supportive Elaine Chin & Chin's Place and Michael Carrino who made some wonderful meatballs. Happy Birthday to the Amazing Ryan Parteka, artist/filmmaker/photographer/cinematographer/environmentalist/virtual reality maker...Ryan has worked on camera crews for Christopher Nolan (Interstellar), Terrence Malick (Tree of Life/Voyage of Time), & Game of Thrones. He has created so many inspiring experimental films, interactive art installations, photography series, and so much more. Currently he's been developing seamless VR natural environments for meditative & healing purposes. Ryan has done so much to help ASP achieve a professional cinematic look by guiding us in our selection of camera & hand crafted lenses, the results of which you'll be seeing a lot more of very soon. He's always there to counsel us on countless cinematographic & movie making concerns. One of these days we'll get him to Akron to shoot some Arcana Smyth projects as director of photographer...or we'll finally get to his home in Iceland & shoot an Arcana adventure there. Either way, Ryan will always be our DP emeritus. Happy Birthday, buddy. You're a great friend personally & a great friend to the arts.
