I know, it sounds crazy, but here's the thing: You NEVER know when an opportunity is going to come up. You never know who will be there, or if they'll even be interested in what you're selling. You never know if that person has a connection with someone who needs what you're selling RIGHT NOW.​​​​​​​​

You have to be there for those opportunities—sometimes that means putting in extra work on days when you'd rather stay home and watch Netflix. But if you don't show up, you'll miss out on all those potential deals!​​​​​​​​

It's a simple idea, but not so easy to put into practice. When you're in the thick of it, doing all the things that need to be done and being all the people who need to be taken care of, it can be hard to remember why we're doing this in the first place.​​​​​​​​

Remembering why is important—it keeps us focused and gives us motivation to keep going when things get tough. But don't beat yourself up if your mind wanders from time to time; just come back to this idea: If you don't love what you do, why do it?​​​​​​​​
